Little Blue Penguins
Undeniably one of Timaru’s most show-stopping attractions, Caroline Bay is one of the best places to spot Little Blue Penguins or Kororā, the world’s smallest penguins.
Caroline Bay Beach
Not just a favourite among Little Blue Penguins, Caroline Bay Beach is a great location to soak up the sun or feel the sand between your toes.
Timaru Gardens
Stroll through the Timaru Botanic Gardens, a 210ha reserve situated at the South end of Timaru with gardens, duck ponds and an aviary.
Te Ana Maori Rock Art Centre
Located in the Landing Services Building, Te Ana offers the most significant collection of ancient Maori rock art in New Zealand.
